designing of structural model of organizational mindfulness: a mixed research

چکیده

the objective of study was designing of structural model of organizational mindfulness: a mixed reseach. this study was an explanatory sequential design and applied research. in qualitative unit, population were the experts of schools of management of public universities of tehran, sample were 14 experts of management and sampling was snowball and semi-structured interviews were implemented. in quantitative unit, population were the management faculty members of schools of management of public universities of tehran (351 members), sample were 226 faculty members of schools of management of public universities of tehran and two-stage cluster sampling and targeted available were implemented. organizational mindfulness, professional learning community and transformational leadership questionnaires were executed in 2014-2015. analyses showed accepted reliability and validity. in qualitative unit for collection of mindfulness indicators content analysis and open coding were used. the quantitative statistical methods were exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. the structural equation modeling contained one exogenous construct: transformational leadership; two endogenous constructs: professional learning community, organizational mindfulness. the study demonstrated transformational leadership had significant and direct effects on professional learning community (γ =0/34), organizational mindfulness (γ=0/21), direct and significant effect of professional learning community on organizational mindfulness (β=0/51). results showed transformational leadership: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, individualized consideration, had direct effect on professional learning community: collective responsibility for learning, collaboration focused on professional learning and on organizational mindfulness: rapidity and agility, flexibility, accountability, conditional learning and development of recognition, trust and openness; direct effect of professional learning community on creation of organizational mindfulness.
